(us)GS - Claybord
(us)GS is a body of mixed media works that explore deep time and the growing disparity between human capitalist time and earth system time.
The Claybord series employs a combination of materials with a wide range of mutability to explore time through duration, resilience, and pliability. Each work starts with a ground line and evolves through processes of erosion, deposition, settlement, decay, development, and uplift - imagining not only a million years ago but also a million years ahead.
